Cyprus' first new generation hotel and rehabilitation center opens

An investment protocol was signed at the Vuni Palace Hotel Congress Center for the creation of a new generation hotel and rehabilitation center in Famagusta.

An investment protocol was signed for the establishment of a new generation hotel and rehabilitation center in Famagusta, which will directly contribute to the international visibility and development of Northern Cyprus in the field of health tourism.

The signing ceremony of the protocol, which took place at the Vuni Palace Hotel Congress Center and was signed by Dr. Köksal Holoğlu, President of Romatem Health Group, and İbrahim Bağman, CEO of Oscar Group, was attended by Prime Minister Unal Üstel, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoglu, Minister of Foreign Affairs Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu, Minister of Health İzlem Gürçağ Altuğra, President of the World Health Tourism Council, National Unity Party (UBP) Deputy Dr. Ahmet Savaşan Emin Çakmak, Founding President of the World Health Tourism Council, as well as senior executives from the tourism and health sectors.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Prime Minister Unal Üstel, President of the World Health Tourism Council Dr. Ahmet Savaşan’Prime Minister Üstel pointed out that Romatem Group, a reputable and reliable brand of Turkey, and Oscar Group, one of the reliable and powerful organizations of the TRNC, which decided to make the first health tourism investment in Northern Cyprus in this special period with the initiatives and encouragement of the Turkish Prime Minister Prof. Dr. İsmail Üstel, and expressed his belief that this step will be a source of motivation for other health tourism investments from abroad to come to the island.

Stating that the Ministry of Tourism has been involved in the process since the first day the TRNC became a member of the World Health Tourism Council (GHTC) and has provided support at many stages, Minister Ataoğlu said that the new generation hotel and rehabilitation center, which will be operational under the presidency of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, will usher in a new era in health tourism. Stating that the Ministry supports the increase in health tourism investments in Northern Cyprus in this new period and that studies are being carried out for this, Minister Ataoğlu said that the investment to be made by Oscar and Romatem groups will lead this new period.
